stonework, wood beamed ceilings and stone floors.

The gite is located not far from Brantome, with
its famous abbey and lovely riverside walks, and also not
far from Bourdeilles with its 11th Century Chateau and
picturesque bridge over the river.

The main living area on the first floor looks out towards
the main house with its attractive stone walls and traditional
"pigeonnier".
and towards the pool and views over open coutryside beyond,
with woods and rolling hills.
On the opposite side of the gite where the living
room / kitchen area is at ground level, there is
a private south facing patio area, with mature trees, providing
plenty of shade for relaxing or barbecuing.
The 10m x 5m swimming pool is situated close
to the gite. It is fitted with a security alarm to
provide protection for children
when the pool is not in use.
The garden covers around 5 acres of open parkland,
bounded by trees and fields. It is not overlooked
and is very private. There is ample garden furniture
for barbecues or relaxing by the pool.
The surrounding countryside is green and attractive, with
rolling hills. and many delightful walks from the door. It
is also wonderful cycling country and cycles are available
on request.
